Incorta Copilot

Generative AI experiences have been integrated across the platform to enhance user interactions. Various interfaces offer generative AI experiences collectively called the "Copilot."

1. Copilot Business Assistant: Ask the Copilot any business-related question and specify a View for reference. The Copilot will then construct and execute an SQL query, providing the resulting data, relevant insights, and a summary of the findings.
2. Copilot Dashboard Assistant: Build on the insights from the Copilot Business Assistant by mentioning @insight.You can use this keyword to transform your data into Interactive Insights that you can add to your dashboard.
3. Copilot Story Generation Assistant: Describe the story you want to convey with your data and watch Copilot create a dashboard in minutes. You can format the resulting dashboards using templates in compatible dimensions to export to PowerPoint.
4. Copilot Business View Metadata Assistant: You can generate column labels and descriptions with a button click while editing a business view.
5. Notebook Assistant: Create Spark SQL queries using simple natural language prompts. Additionally, the Notebook Copilot can assist you in troubleshooting any notebook errors you encounter.
6. Data Studio Assistant: Use natural language to create formulas, pySpark, Spark SQL code and establish data quality rules.

Enabling the Copilot

Pre-requisites

  • Incorta Premium is enabled
  • Advanced SQLi is enabled (for Copilot Business Assistant)

Turn on Copilot

To enable the Copilot, please contact your Account Executive. Once Incorta enables the Copilot in the Incorta backend, you can verify the Incorta Copilot toggle is active in the Cloud Admin portal. Once enabled, proceed to confirm the Copilot is running.

Verify the Copilot

To verify if the Copilot is working correctly:

  1. Log in as Super Admin.
  2. Go to a Physical Schema and create a Materialized View.
  3. Select the Interactive Notebook option.
  4. Select the Copilot icon on the right side of the Navigation bar. If you can not see it, either Copilot is not enabled for this cluster, or you have not logged in as Super Admin. Choose any schema and table.
  5. Type @advanced Hi, who are you?
  6. Verify the Copilot introduces itself. If not, the Copilot has not been correctly configured.

Restarting the Copilot

Some configurations in the CMC will require the Copilot to be restarted. To restart the Copilot:

  1. Open the Cloud Admin console.
  2. Toggle off the Copilot.
  3. Toggle on the Copilot once more.
  4. Use the above instructions to verify the Copilot has been restarted (this can take a few minutes).
