Data Applications → XLCubed Excel plugin dashboards for SAP ECC

XLCubed is a standalone add-in from Fluence Technologies, used in Microsoft Excel. It helps business users create reports and dashboards and analyze and explore data without any programming experience by connecting to different data sources. You can also build pixel-perfect planning and budgeting models. For more information on how to integrate XLCubed with Incorta, refer to Integrations → XLCubed.

What does this data application do?

This data application helps you perform advanced analytics on your SAP ECC financial data with Incorta’s customizable dashboards for the XLCubed Excel plugin. After deploying and loading the data in Incorta, you’ll have control over the fine-grain details, layout, and formatting so that you can visualize, publish, and share your customized reports.

The sample dashboard includes an advanced general ledger income statement. Visualization variations include sparkline charts, variance charts, and structural waterfall charts.

Requirements

To install this data application, you need the following:

  • Excel for Windows installed.
  • The XLCubed plugin is installed in Excel.

Installation steps

Here are the installation steps:

  1. Install the data application.
  2. Configure the data application.

Step 1: Install the data application

Administrators can install the application in the Incorta Cloud Administrator Portal (CAP), or other users can install it in Incorta Analytics.

(Administrators) To install in the Cloud admin portal (CAP):

  1. Sign in to the CAP.
  2. Select Data Apps in the navigation bar.
  3. Search for and Install the following applications:
    • SAP ECC General Ledger
    • XLCubed Excel plugin dashboards for SAP ECC.

(Other users) To install in Incorta Analytics:

  1. Sign in to Incorta Analytics.
  2. Select Marketplace in the navigation bar.
  3. Search for and Contact to Install the following applications:
    • SAP ECC General Ledger
    • XLCubed Excel plugin dashboards for SAP ECC.
Note

The Contact to Install button contacts your administrator to install the data application.

Step 2: Configure the data application

  1. Download the Excel file from here.
  2. Open the file in Excel.
  3. The Connection Logon screen may pop up when you open it for the first time. Enter the demo as the password and select OK.
    • In the navigation bar under XLCubed → Manage → Connections, select Edit.
    • Select the New Connection tab, and enter the following details for your cluster.

  1. Select OK to save and finish.
