Patch Manager Overview
The patch manager is available starting the 6.0.1 release. This feature aims to automate the patch installation process, which makes it easier for the Cluster Management Console (CMC) admins to install any patches provided by Incorta.
You can install, uninstall, and export patches to your Incorta nodes using a .zip file in the CMC.
Patch Manager Access Rights
Only a CMC administrator can access the Patch Manager in a cluster. To access the Patch Manager, sign in to the CMC, select the Clusters tab, select a cluster name, and then select the Patches tab.
Patch Manager Anatomy
The Patch Manager consists of the following:

Patch Manager Actions
Using the Patch Manager, you can perform the following actions:
Install a patch
Incorta support usually provides the patch that you need to install. The support team provides the patch to fix an existing issue you might have.
The following are the prerequisites that must be fulfilled to be able to proceed with the installation process:
- The patch name is unique and has never been installed before.
- The patch is compatible with the installed Incorta version.
- Any prerequisite patches already exist.
- The patch descriptor supplied by Incorta is valid.
To start installing a patch through the CMC, you need to apply the following steps:
Sign in to the CMC, select the Clusters tab, and select a cluster name.
Select the Patch tab, and then select the Install New Patch button.
In the Install New Patch wizard, drag and drop or browse to the .zip file provided by Incorta.
In the Upload File step, Incorta validates the patch compatibility, making sure of the following:
- The patch name is unique and has never been installed before.
- The patch prerequisites are fulfilled, such as the existing previous patch.
- The patch matches the installed Incorta version.
After the file is validated, select Next.
In the Install step, review the patch information, select Install, and then select Finalize after installation completes.
The CMC will stop all services during patch installation, so you must notify your users of the downtime.
- In the Finalize step, select Start All to start all services. Alternatively, you can select Close & Go to nodes and start services manually for each node.
- During patch installation, Incorta backs up all files and properties needed if you decide to roll back a patch, guaranteeing that the system will work correctly after rolling back.
- Backups are usually stored until you upgrade to another Incorta version.
Incorta will install a patch on all available nodes if you have multiple nodes.
Rollback a patch
You can always roll back patches, knowing that you must start by rolling back the latest installed patch and then go to the next one sequentially.
