Release Notes 5.2.3
In the 5.2.3 on-premises release, Incorta is supporting Redhat 8 as one of the supported Linux operating systems. In addition to several bug fixes and enhancements, this release enables administrators to generate a thread dump for services using the Cluster Management Console (CMC).
Upgrade Considerations
Upon upgrading or installing this release, you must do the following:
Register a valid Incorta license key using the Cluster Management Console (CMC). For more information, refer to License Registration.
Run the following command to install the Python library 3.0
pip install IncortaAnalytics/IncortaNode/bin/data_apis/python/incorta_data_apis-1.0-py3-none-any.whl
What’s new?
License registration
Prior to upgrading to this release, please contact your Incorta Customer Success Manager or Incorta Support to obtain your Incorta license key.
When you receive the license key, your Incorta CMC administrator should log in to the CMC and upload the license.
In case of a connection issue while syncing your license, select the Re-sync button to resync your license using the CMC. If the problem persists, please contact Incorta Support.
Uploading and registering a new license does not require restarting any Incorta services.
If the license will expire within 30 days, Incorta displays a warning message. You can always renew your license within that time. When the license expires, you will not be able to use or log in to Incorta Analytics, but any scheduled load jobs will still run to keep your data sources up-to-date in Incorta.
Please contact Incorta Support, if you need to set the machine Date and Time to an earlier date or time.
Thread dump generation
In this release, Incorta is introducing a new capability to generate a thread dump through the Cluster Management Console (CMC). You can generate a thread dump even when your Zookeeper or databases are down, but you cannot generate a thread dump when the node agent is stopped or terminates unexpectedly.
Generate a thread dump through the CMC Nodes Manager using the following steps:
- For a specific node, select More Options (⋮ vertical ellipsis icon)
- Select Generate Thread Dump
A pop-up window appears showing the thread dump file you need to download. You can download all thread dump files in this pop-up window using the Download All option. This window keeps the history of the thread dump files you generated until you close it.
When you close the pop-up window, Incorta clears the history of recent thread dumps, but you can refer to the files you generated in two ways:
- Select the Thread dump link in the CMC Nodes Manager
- Get the thread dump files using the CMC Logs Manager
Additional Enhancements and Fixes
In addition to the new features and significant enhancements mentioned above, this release introduces some enhancements and fixes that help make Incorta more stable, engaging, and reliable.
