Setting the Session Timeout

Context

This content applies to On-Premises installations.

In previous releases, you could set the session timeout for Incorta web applications by configuring Tomcat's default conf/web.xml file in:

<incorta-install-dir>/IncortaNode/Services/<long-service-directory>/conf

To make the change, open conf/web.xml in a text editor and change the value in the <session-timeout> tag to the number of minutes before the session is terminated.

The example below shows the session timeout set for 30 minutes.

<!--=================== Default Session Configuration ================-->
<!-- You can set the default session timeout (in minutes) for all newly-->
<!-- created sessions by modifying the value below.-->
<session-config>
<session-timeout>30</session-timeout>
</session-config>

Starting with the 2024.1.x releases, you can configure the session timeout setting in the Cluster Management Console (CMC) > Server Configurations > Security. The updated timeout value takes effect after the user signs out and signs back into Incorta.
