Upgrade Using a Fresh Installation
You can use this process to upgrade from any Incorta version before 4.5.
For Incorta versions before 4.3, upgrade using a fresh installation if you have a small data size or if you do not have snapshot-only tables. A fresh installation retrieves your entire data set from the data source, which can take longer than performing an in-place upgrade.
You must replace Spark with the new version bundled with Incorta and reapply any custom configurations you set to upgrade to Incorta release 4.5.
For information on how to perform an in-place upgrade from version 4.2 or earlier, see Migration Upgrade from 3.x to 4.5. For information on how to perform an in-place upgrade from version 4.3 or later, see Miration Upgrade from 4.3 to 4.5.
Perform the following steps to upgrade to Incorta Release 4.5 using a fresh installation.
- Export the tenant from your old version.
- Install the 4.5 CMC.
- Install Incorta Release 4.5 on each Incorta node.
- Configure the cluster and services.
- Start the CMC.
- Log into the 4.5 CMC.
- Select the cluster.
- Import the tenant.
- Load data from your data sources.
